Heavy Impasto

When adding dry pigment to acrylic paint you need to be careful to thoroughly mix it in. This ensures no powder bombs are created and it becomes structurally sound. It is helpful to also add heavy structure gel into the mix so that on a particle level every thing is combined well. Using a kitchen whisk not only aids a proper mixing ability but you can to a certain level control the aeration thus influencing the coagulation ability of the paint.
